The CD
Otto's Jacket self-titled debut album displays the band's tasteful blend of folk, blues, jazz, and rock throughout its thirteen tracks. The album, created during the summer of '97, flows from the fiery energy of the punk-tinged "Blame" into the subdued ballad "To You" and on to the booty-shakin' latin groove of "What More Do You Want?". Otto's Jacket simultaneously defines and denies the bounds of musical genre, breaking the rules whimsically from song to song, while creating an aural environment unique to the band.
